STUDIO EXPECTATIONS

DANCE CLASS ETIQUETTE

No food or drink in the dance room, besides water
No cell phone use
No touching mirrors or hanging on barres
Please no street shoes in the lobby. Street shoes can be left in the hallway.
Use the restroom before class (parents/guardians please take your tot to the restroom before class starts)
Proper shoes and attire must be worn to participate in class
Treat adults, instructors, and dancers with respect
Dancers and parents must conduct themselves in an appropriate manner while at the studio, studio representation on social media, and events in which Northern Sky is being represented.
Good attitudes and positive energy only :)
We promote INCLUSION, COMMUNITY, and KINDNESS, we expect dancers and parents/guardians to do the same!

We appreciate our dance family and their support, but kindly ask to view your student's dance progress from the lobby. Don’t worry, Open House Classes will allow parents to view from the classroom.
No parents/visitors are permitted in the dance room during class time
Do your best to keep your dancer focused by not being a distraction to them during class.
All children must be accompanied by a parent/guardian at all times unless they are in class.

Please mark all dance wear, shoes, personal items with your dancer’s name.
We will try our best to return lost items; however, we are not responsible for items dancers bring to class.

If your dancer misses class due to illness or other personal reasons, they will be able to make up for the missed class in a similar class. Please email northernskydance@gmail.com to arrange a make-up class.
Inclement weather closings are up to the discretion of the studio owner. If MAPS is closed due to inclement weather, Northern Sky will remain closed for the day, unless stated differently by Northern Sky. Please check social media and email for cancellations.
All classes missed due to inclement weather can be made up during a make-up class, or any existing class in the season schedule.

Tuition must be paid at the first class of each 6-week session. (Email northernskydance@gmail.com to get approval for late payments)
There is no refund or discount for missed classes
